When the body is deficient in a nutrient, there is often a lag time between taking in new information (in the form of food changes, supplements, or lifestyle practices) and seeing the results in the body. A week is a healthy amount of time in this case, it shows that your body was deficient but not to a desperate stage. I would recommend further thyroid balancing practices like eating a well rounded diet rich in minerals, find a seaweed that you like (mind the sodium, dried nori and dried hijiki found in Asian stores has less sodium). Also take up a yoga practice that will compress and open the thyroid and parathyroid glands. Feel free to ask more on this.</description>

		<description>I have thyroid issues and have tried kelp for an increase in iodine. What I found is that there seems to be a lag period of about a week before it kicks in... at least in myself. Once it is fully absorbed and utilized by my system I can can feel an increase in my metabolism. It&#039;s all part of the toolbox for dealing with hypothyroidism. Thanks for the post!</description>
